Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get involved with artema.be as a contributor, volunteer or intern?

With so much going on in the local arts scenes, we're always happy to have some help. Contact us through any of the methods we have provided in the site. If we have a good fit, we'll be in touch. However, because of the volume of correspondence we receive, we may not be able to respond to all requests.

Is the site free?

Yes. Thanks to the generosity of the individuals and foundations who have donated their time and money to keep the site running, there is no charge to use the resources we have on the site.

Which artists are included in the arts resources listed here?

The artists included in the our arts resources include global and local artists (both those active in the community and those strongly associated with the state) such as painters, sculptors, silversmiths, singers, dancers, filmmakers, potters, performance artists, and others.

Can I see the objects included in the arts resources in person?

In certain cases. If the listed owner is a museum or public institution, the object may be on public view. If you want to see a specific object owned by a particular museum, it is advisable to call ahead to be certain the object is currently being exhibited. Objects owned by private collectors are not available for viewing in person. Unless otherwise listed, the names of private collectors are confidential.

Where can I find more information about local art and artists?

You can check out the resources page. We always indicated when a specific object is made by a local artist. You can also contact us to obtain more information.
